They will discuss and demonstrate the different options available and advise you on your choice so as to enable you to have the best spectacles for your needs.
Single Vision - these lenses are prescribed for distance, reading or VDU correction.
Bifocal - combines reading and distance correction, but with a visible line, available in a variety of styles.
Varifocals - combines reading, intermediate and distance correction (blended together without a visible line) so as to give improved cosmetic appearance and more natural vision.
Lens options:
- Scratch resistant - durable, resists surface scratching.
- Reflective free - reduces reflections, giving clearer vision and improved appearance.
Photochromic - light sensitive, tint adjusts automatically in sunlight giving comfortable vision. These also include UV protection.
- High index - slimmer, thin and light lenses. Gives an improved cosmetic appearance, more comfortable to wear.
Polarised - greatly reduces glare, improving vision and comfort. Comes with UV protection. Ideal for water sports.
- UV protection - give greater protection from UV light. A "clear" tint.
